The waste \u00a0material was used to create dead hedging around which was planted various species of wildlife friendly\u00a0native\u00a0hedging including <strong>hawthorn<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">\u00a0(<\/span><em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Crataegus\u00a0<\/span>monogyny<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">), <strong>blackthorn<\/strong>\u00a0(<\/span><em style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Prunus spinosa<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">), <strong>hazel<\/strong> (<\/span><em style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Corylus avellana<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">), <strong>common dogwood<\/strong> (<\/span><em style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Cornus sanguinea<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">) and <strong>field maple<\/strong> (<\/span><em style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Acer campestre<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">). \u00a0 At the same time a number of overshadowing Scots pine were felled.<a href=\"http:\/\/bacwood.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Point-F-G-after-rhodo-removal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-219 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/bacwood.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Point-F-G-after-rhodo-removal-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bacwood.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Point-F-G-after-rhodo-removal-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bacwood.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Point-F-G-after-rhodo-removal-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bacwood.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Point-F-G-after-rhodo-removal-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">The next picture is of the same spot after the rhododendron was cleared.
