The Covid-19 pandemic

The pandemic prevented significant work at Sable Wood for much of the year.

Habitats

In March, just before Covid restrictions came into force, this log pile was created as a possible hiding or over-wintering place for reptiles.

 

 

 

 

Also in March, this young male adder was photographed among the heather. It’s bright appearance suggests that it had recently sloughed it’s skin.
